Herbarium Alchemillarum Acronym: MW

«Herbarium Alchemillarum» профессора В. Н. Тихомирова — одна из именных коллекций Гербария Московского университета. В «Herbarium Alchemillarum» хранятся 3733 образца, принадлежащие к 119 видам. Многие виды представлены в Гербарии Московского университета только в этой коллекции. Самые представительные сборы имеются из Московской и Владимирской областей и Республики Мордовия. В общей сложности В. Н. Тихомирову передали свои сборы несколько сотен человек. «Herbarium Alchemillarum» хранился на кафедре морфологии и систематики высших растений вплоть до 2000 года, когда после кончины В. Н. Тихомирова по настоянию куратора И. А. Губанова это собрание было передано в Гербарий. Профессор В. Н. Тихомиров не проверял определения манжеток в географических разделах Гербария, опираясь исключительно на собственную коллекцию. Однако она во всех отношениях превосходна, и почти в два раза превышает прочий материал по роду из Восточной Европы. Исходя из этого, было принято решение хранить и впредь эту коллекцию отдельно в качестве одного из именных собраний. Согласно практике, сложившейся в Гербарии, подготовлен полный каталог этой коллекции.

Moscow University Herbarium Acronym: MW

The Moscow University Herbarium (MW) is focused on the flora of temperate Eurasia with a pronounced emphasis on the flora of Russia. With six staff members, it is the second largest herbarium in Russia after the Komarov Institute (LE). Collections of MW include 1 011 253 specimens of ca. 37,000 species of vascular plants and 2,001 species of bryophytes. MW holds some important historical collections by G.F. Hoffmann, J.F. Ehrhart, C.B. Trinius, J.R. and J.G.A. Forsters, etc. So far we have found 4.6K type specimens. We received a grant from the Russian Science Foundation in 2015-2018 for digitisation and over 786K specimens were scanned.

Moscow University Bryological Herbarium Acronym: MW

Гербарий мохообразных — один из отделов Гербария Московского университета (77 086 образцов на конец 2016 г.). Очень активно пополняется, отдел вырос за 12 лет на 33 327 образцов (или на 76,2%). Сегодня Гербарий Московского университета является одним из ведущих центров по изучению и документации разнообразия мхов. Многие результаты печатаются в журнале "Arctoa", который создается сотрудниками МГУ. Наиболее заметен рост коллекций из Сибири и Дальнего Востока, которые увеличились с 2005 г. в 3,3 раза. При этом важные материалы поступили от В. Э. Федосова с Таймыра и плато Путорана (около 6 тыс. образцов), подготовившего за этот период кандидатскую и докторскую диссертации по бриофлоре этих территорий. Более чем на 5 тыс. образцов выросли коллекции с юга Дальнего Востока благодаря экспедициям М. С. Игнатова, Е. А. Игнатовой и В. Э. Федосова. Без малого на 3 тыс. образцов выросли якутские коллекции благодаря плодотворным поездкам М. С. и Е. А. Игнатовых. Обильные сборы с севера Дальнего Востока поступили от В. Э. Федосова с Командорских островов и Камчатки. Активно пополнялись кавказские коллекции сборами из Краснодарского края и Дагестана (М. С. Игнатов, Е. А. Игнатова, В. Э. Федосов и др.). Не прекращается работа по изучению бриофлоры Тебердинского заповедника на стационаре кафедры геоботаники МГУ (Карачаево-Черкесия). Коллекции с российского Кавказа выросли в 2,3 раза. Из Восточной Европы рекордно большие материалы поступили от М. Н. Кожина, собранные при изучении бриофлоры Мурманской обл.

Herbarium of the Institute of Biological Problems of the North, FEB RAS Acronym: MAG

The Herbarium of the Institute of Biological Problems of the North, FEB RAS in Magadan (MAG) was founded in 1970 and consists of collections of vascular plants, fungi, lichens and bryophytes. The herbarium of vascular plants includes the collections of the Institute staff since 1970, as well as specimens of earlier years (1940-1960) transferred from the land survey expedition. The herbarium is constantly contributed by new collections. The herbarium contains specimens of 1,700+ species of vascular plants. The total number of specimens exceeds 110,000. Mostly, these are collections from the Magadan Region and adjacent territories - Primorye, Kamchatka, Chukotka, the Commander Islands, etc. Vascular plants are arranged according to the Engler's system, genera are assigned numbers according to Dalla Torre, within genera - alphabetically. The geographical principle of location is also maintained. An electronic catalog of herbarium labels exists for individual families and genera. Since 2006, all new collections of plants have been entered into the catalog.

Herbarium of the Kuzbass Botanical Garden Acronym: KUZ

The herbarium of the Kuzbass Botanical Garden (KUZ) contains ca. 60,000 specimens of vascular plants from Kemerovo Province, Kazakhstan, Siberia, Mongolia, and 24 type specimens. Collection of bryophytes contains 5,000 specimens from Altai Krai, Primorsky Krai, Kemerovo Province, Novosibirsk Province, Altai Republic, Kazakhstan. Collection “Flora of Kazakhstan and Central Asia” includes herbarium specimens from East, Central and South Kazakhstan. Collections by the genera Stipa, Festuca, and Artemisia are of special interest. Iconographic collections (drawings of plants) contains 350 species. This is the most active and probably the largest herbarium of the Kemerovo Province - it contains 19,000 specimens on the flora of the region. Herbarium team will digitize all its collections in 2020–2022 at 600 dpi using the Microtek 1600 Object Scan. These images will be published in the Moscow Digital Herbarium.

Herbarium of Irkutsk State University Acronym: IRKU

Smirnov Herbarium of the Department of Botany of Irkutsk State University (IRK) is the largest herbarium in Eastern Siberia. The volume of collections is 150,000+ specimens. The herbarium is subdivided into seven units: Asian Russia, General, Historical, Typical, Cryptogamous, Educational herbarium and Doublet fund. The Asian Russia unit is the most extensive with 86,000+ specimens. Within the framework of the project supported by the program of RFBR and the Irkutsk Region (project No. 20-45-380009), the main funds of the herbarium are being digitized and the information system “Digital Herbarium of Baikal Siberia” is being created, which will provide researchers with open access to the materials of the collection of Irkutsk State University.
